Our client, Porirua City Council, needed to see how traffic would flow around a newly constructed roundabout at Kenepuru/Raiha intersection. This trial is for 6 – 12months, which will show where the carriageway will need to be modified before installing permanent kerb and channel.

The reason that PCC chose the temporary Rubber Traffic Separator system was to see how traffic would flow on the newly constructed roundabout before going permanent.

What challenge did your project need to overcome in relation to traffic management?

“Works needed to be completed at night so there was no interference during peak traffic from 6am – 6pm.”

Where did the job take place?

“The job took place In Porirua at the busy Raiha St intersection which has a lot of traffic movement daily.”
