Challenge
Our client was moving in to a new site and had a very tight timeframe to get operational. Level 4 Lockdown added another challenge to this project as we had to produce the product and install during a strict lockdown period. Due to the fact that our client was an essential service and Vanguard were supporting essential services throughout Level 4, we were able to carry out the needed site scoping and installation in a timely manner.
Solution
Vanguard went on site to consult with the safety management team, scoping out requirements to come up with a walkway plan. Following our consultation service, we provided a proposal that involved Line Marking, truck exclusion zones, and our WalkSafe Traffic Barrier along the walkways to safety segregate vehicles and pedestrians.
Result
Walkways were clearly defined with line marking and well-protected by our barrier system which created an effective safety outcome for everyone on site. By turning the project around quickly and getting everything up and running, our client was able to move in on time and carry on with their operations. The whole project took 6 days from date of order to completion and the client was able to transition smoothly in to business as usual from day 1 on their new site. Our clients Project Manager who oversaw this project said, “Your turnaround time from the award of the business to delivery in the current market conditions was exceptional.”
