Client: National Fresh Produce Provider
This fresh produce provider has been operating in New Zealand for over 100 years! Standards in safety have changed a bit since then and they asked the Vanguard team to come in to their facility for a safety consultation and advise on which of our engineered solutions would benefit their unique circumstances.
Challenge
The team were in need of delineation between pedestrians and warehouse operations. With so many staff on site and their machinery running all day, there was reason for concern on the safety of their staff.
Solution
After a consultation and walkthrough of the facility, our team suggest a solution that included the installation of our Walksafe Hand Rail System to direct and protect pedestrians moving around the warehouse. This system comes in a highly visible safety yellow so staff can easily see where they should be walking. Walksafe Pause Gates were also installed at key locations where staff should stop before exiting out on to a busy floor or outside in to moving vehicles.
Result
Pedestrians can now travel around the facility separate from moving machinery and vehicles. Clear walkways help staff and visitors safely navigate the site, and function as a visual aid to vehicles. Management are happy with the result of the project and have been given the confidence that their staff are now properly protected on the worksite.
