Introducing you to our very modular steel barrier system—ForkSafe!
As the name suggests, this system has been designed specifically for forklift and MHE zones in busy workplaces. The ForkSafe system is designed to protect people, plant, and assets from vehicle impact.
Due to its modular design, this barrier system is very customisable, it’s easy to install, and it’s great for ongoing maintenance.
The narrow footprint of this barrier system, compared to traditional Armco-type barriers, gives you back valuable operational space.
The Crumple Zone Technology (CZT) was designed to absorb energy on impact, taking pressure off the anchors, and therefore reducing concrete damage.
The ForkSafe barrier system is tested in compliance with PAS 13, which is a globally recognised testing standard. See here for more information about PAS 13.
All ForkSafe barriers are manufactured from steel, galvanised with a powder coat yellow finish. This comes with a ten-year warranty, giving you total peace of mind.
We have a range of configurations depending on the application you’re in:
400-A – Low-Level Traffic Barrier
This 400mm high barrier is typically used to protect walls, plant, and machinery from vehicle impact. We wouldn’t use this to protect your pedestrian walkway as it’s too low and the pedestrian can simply step over it.
600-B – Single Barrier + Pedestrian Handrail
This 600mm high barrier is available on its own (600-A – Single Barrier), or if you want it to protect a walkway, it comes with handrail extension (600-B) which prevents pedestrians from stepping over it. This barrier can be filled with extra barrier pieces giving you a solid 600mm high protected zone, which also protects from the likes of pallets and fork tines.
950-A – Double Barrier
This 950mm high double-railed barrier is our most popular option. Once again, you can have it as pictured or you can completely fill the 950mm post with guardrail which gives you a solid protection from pallets, fault tines and the likes.
1800-A – Topple Barrier
Our Topple barrier is available in both 1800mm high (1800-A) or up to 2200mm high (2200-A). This is typically used where you’ve got a walkway next to an area where pallets may be staged. We’ve still got the guardrail down the bottom for forklift and MHE impact, but then we’ve added extra barrier parts capable of arresting a pallet or product falling onto the walkway.
