ULTRAFLEX Separator System: A Durable, Flexible Solution for Traffic Guidance.

Whether it’s temporary traffic management, lane delineation, intersection safety improvements, pedestrian islands, car park traffic flow, or walkway separation, the ULTRAFLEX Separator System is built to create clear visual and physical guidance for drivers and pedestrians alike.

At its core, the system combines heavy-duty rubber bases with flexible vertical posts to create an effective separation device that’s highly visible, durable, and adaptable to a wide range of environments.

Please note: the ULTRAFLEX Separator System is an upgrade of the popular Traffic Separator System. For a full comparison between the two systems, CLICK HERE.

Built for Visibility and Real-World Impact

The purpose of the system is simple: the rubber bases create physical separation between lanes or spaces, while the flexible posts provide vertical delineation making the separation much more obvious to approaching vehicles.

That vertical visibility helps drivers recognise lane boundaries, pedestrian zones, and restricted areas sooner and more clearly.

But where ULTRAFLEX really stands apart is its durability.

The flexible posts are made from polyurethane and tested to withstand 100 impacts at 100km/h. Instead of splintering or snapping, the post bends on impact and rebounds back into shape, helping reduce maintenance and replacement over time.

Compact Design, More Working Space

One of the key advantages of the ULTRAFLEX Separator System is its footprint.

At just 250mm wide, it’s significantly narrower than a standard road cone, which makes a real difference in temporary traffic management environments where every bit of working space counts.

That narrower profile means crews can maximise usable space while still maintaining clear and effective separation.

A Modular System That Adapts to Your Site

The ULTRAFLEX Separator System is made up of three main components:

  • 500mm long end caps (available in black or yellow)
  • 1m long centre modules (also available in black or yellow)
  • 900mm high flexible posts (available in orange, yellow, or white)

The modular design works like a jigsaw, allowing each piece to lock together depending on the layout you need.

That means you can create anything from a short separator section in a carpark to long continuous runs for lane separation on roads or work sites.

This flexibility makes it suitable for a wide variety of projects without needing multiple different systems.

Designed for Day and Night Use

Visibility in low-light conditions is just as important as daytime performance which is why the system includes reflective elements across all components:

  • Reflective tabs on the ends and sides of the end caps
  • Reflective strips along the centre modules
  • Two bands of reflective tape on each flexible post

Together, these features help improve visibility at night and in poor weather conditions.

Temporary or Permanent Installation

Because the base modules weigh 16kg each, the ULTRAFLEX Separator System can often be loose laid for temporary applications, making installation quick and efficient.

For permanent or semi-permanent installs, there are three fixing options available depending on the surface:

Asphalt (Permanent)

An M12 x 300mm rebar spike can be driven directly into the surface with a sledgehammer for a strong, permanent hold.

Asphalt (Temporary / Removable)

An M10 x 100mm coach screw and expanding plug provides a secure fixing that can be removed later if needed.

Concrete (Permanent)

An M12 x 150mm anchor screw allows for solid installation into concrete surfaces.

This range of fixing options gives you the flexibility to choose the right installation method for your project.

A Separator System Built to Last

Traffic separation solutions need to do more than just look the part – they need to stand up to repeated impacts, changing site conditions, and constant use.

ULTRAFLEX is durable, highly visible, easy to configure, and suitable for everything from short-term traffic management through to permanent infrastructure improvements.
