This Roofing Contractors business has been operating for about 70 years and is one of New Zealand’s largest and most established privately owned building product rollformer and installer.
Challenge
The company were looking for a way to protect their team from vehicles and machinery onsite and so Vanguard were invited to create a safety solutions plan with their team.
Solution
We recommended that walkways be created through the factory to prevent workers from walking into storage areas. Pause gates were to be installed at key locations to slow pedestrians crossing vehicle lanes and expandable barriers set up at doorways to prevent unauthorised access when required.
After management signed off on our proposal, our team then arranged production, delivery and installation.
Result
As a result of this new safety setup, staff and visitors alike can move around the facility safely and confidently. And now, this company are proud advocates for effective warehouse safety, well done guys!
