Challenge:

A busy, in-demand freight industry client had a challenge with vehicles speeding in their carpark and driveway creating a hazard for pedestrians and other vehicles.

Solution:

After a site visit, so we could fully understand the issues and main areas of concern, we identified specific points where speed calmers could be used to slow down vehicles.

With a mixture of cars, vans and trucks entering the site, we recommended two types of speed calmers to handle the different vehicles; a more abrupt speed hump for cars and vans, and a less abrupt speed cushion for trucks.

This has achieved the desired outcome of slowing vehicle speeds in the carpark resulting in a safer, calmer, more stress-free site for everyone.
