Where are these best used?
These can be used inside and outside, and are food grade rated for use in food processing applications. Non-conductive properties make this an excellent choice for protecting electrical assets such as transformers and power boxes.
How do these work?
During impact, the material bends while absorbing energy and then returns to its original shape
How are these installed?
Surface mount bollards are fixed onto the surface using concrete screws.
Can the d-flexx Energy Absorbing Bollard be bolted onto asphalt?
No, the d-flexx Energy Absorbing Bollard must be bolted to concrete. If the existing surface is asphalt, you will need to excavate and pour concrete footings to install the bollards onto. Concrete footers need to be a minimum of 25MPA and 400(L) x 400(W) x 400(D)mm.
Are these suitable for inside and outside use?
Yes, d-flexx products are UV resistant so are suitable in all weather conditions.
How far apart should I install the bollards?
We recommend installing your bollards between 1200mm - 1500mm apart to ensure no small vehicles can fit between them. 1200mm is the minimum distance apart they can be installed to ensure access is not restricted.
